Christie Hayes



Christie Hayes is a high-profile, First Nations Actress and an award-winning Radio presenter, of the Biripi people.


Christie grew up on television in Australia, starting her first series at age 11 on  "The Search for Treasure Island", then spending over 12 years on Home & Away as "Kirsty Sutherland" being watched by millions of viewers all over the world. 


She has worked on multiple TV series, and has also worked on many Breakfast Television shows as a guest or Host, including Studio 10, The Morning Show and The Daily Edition.


Christie has worked on various comedy TV shows, including CRAM alongside Peter Hellier, and she has numerous TV and theatre credits to her name, starring in over 30 theatre productions in Sydney over the years.


In 2019, Christie joined the cast of ‘Neighbours’ in a guest role, juggling her time between filming her Television contract, and recording her Breakfast Radio show.


In 2023, Christie had her film “Finally Me” written and directed by Jason Stevens starring an all-star Australian cast, released in cinemas and Christie recently has starred onstage at the highly respected Belvoir St Theatre, Ensemble Theatre in Sydney, and appeared at Theatre Royal Hobart.


Christie is also an ACRA-winning Breakfast Radio Host of seven years and she currently wakes up the city of Hobart/Nipaluna on the Breakfast Radio Show “Dan and Christie” on Hobart’s HIT 100.9


Christie has MC'd many sporting events, including the Hobart Hurricanes 2022-2023 season and also the Illawarra Hawks broadcast live on television. 


Christie's work in radio also leads to strong voice-over artistry all over Australia, and she has voiced the on-air commercials with over 100 voice-overs, for many well-known brands such as Mercedes, Hyundai, Mazda, Mcdonalds and many, many more.
