JAYNE AZZOPARDI
Jayne Azzopardi is Co-host of channel Nine’s Today Weekend.
Jayne joined Nine News in 2009 as a political journalist in Canberra. In her time there she covered two elections, three leadership changes, and travelled overseas to report on Prime Minister's visits to Japan, Korea, China, New Zealand and the United States.
In 2011 she joined the Sydney newsroom, reporting on everything from bushfires, to court stories and several royal tours. Jayne has filled in as US correspondent in Nine’s LA bureau, and in 2013 walked the Black Cat Track in Papua New Guinea with MPs Scott Morrison and Jason Clare for an ANZAC day feature story. She also fills in as a presenter for daytime bulletins, and in 2014 joined the Inside Story team.
Jayne studied journalism at the University of Technology, Sydney before moving to Wagga Wagga in 2001 to start her career as a journalist at WIN News.
She later worked for the network in Canberra and Wollongong before moving to London in 2004. There she worked for organisations including ITN, BBC, CNBC and Al Jazeera, before coming home to Nine.
